Do not Delete this page
I strongly oppose the deletion of this article. A
Google search proves his
notability and
verifiability, and shows several
reliable sources about him. The article could be improved by adding more information and/or sources, which I plan on doing. The article was deleted because of CSD:A& (No indication of importance/significance). The article does indicate Lighty's significance on the basketball court for Ohio State by showing his contributions (e.g. points per game).
I also have a problem with the manner that the article was deleted. The speedy delete template was placed on the article and it was deleted very shortly after before I had a chance to explain my case or improve the article to help it better pass CSD:A7. I tried incorporating more info in Lighty's article that indicates his importance.

I would have to agree with Frank Anchor that the page does satisfy the requests of A7 in that it establishes the subject's notability. Perhaps listing this on AFD would be more appropriate.

I would strongly agree with frank anchor. A quick google search showes David Lighty's stats on ESPN.com. If David Lighy is notible enough for ESPN he is notible enough for wikipedia. An average joe would not be on there. Also he plays for The Ohio State Basketball Team, and since high school is a well known player.
