I added some words in the personal life section: I expanded a bit on his family and I mentioned his religious conviction, about which the media is reporting regularly (e.g.
here,
here and
here).

I also included more evidence of his father's heritage. (e.g.
here).

This source only claims that Alaba's father is from Ogere. It doesn't mention his descent at all (especially no mention of Yoruba). So his Yoruban descent is still not sourced. His name might be a strong hint, but it's no proof. --

It is obviously undisputed that his father was from Nigeria - there shouldn't be any problem in mentioning this, or is there? --

Hi folks. According to a
report by Austrian newspaper
Der Standard Alaba is not the youngest player to have appeared for Austrian national team. Should we change the article to reflect this or wait for confirmation by the Austrian FA? Kind regards,

I will not unload the fire yet; firing will produce destructive flames :-), I'll tell you what I think instead, okay? I believe David Alaba is the youngest player to have appeared for the National Team and we should change the article to reflect this. - GizzyCatBella🍁14:10, 6 September 2020 (UTC)reply
Actually, right now the article does state that he is "youngest player in the history of the Austrian national team". I started this discussion to ask whether that should be changed based on the report by Der Standard. Which reliable sources is your "belief" based on?

Not done Please be specific about the change you are proposing. For what it’s worth, the cited source says his contract begins on July 1 and he will not join the club until his involvement at Euro 2020 is over.

Supercopa de España 2023-2024 must be included as it is included in Spanish lenguage. Even if he was injured, he makes part of the squad. But overall is what everyones does in wikipedia for every player for any trophy they win in the same situation.
