Do not automatically confer notability, notable ones may. In fact In would argue that over reliance on non notable prizes is an indicator of lack of notability, no one cares they have even won a prize.

I am dubious about the Yad Vashem International Book Prize for Holocaust Research being all that significant because (as far as I can see) it has not been awarded for 5 years, only in fact operated for about 3 years. So it was very much a flash in the pan memorial award, with no lasting significance.

Maybe
Yad Vashem is just choosy in awarding its book prizes?
The book prize seems to have some importance, since mention of it is made in the "
Jan Grabowski" article.
We are not an RS. All kinds of things are added to articles, that does not mean they are significant. Maybe they are choosy, and no book in the last five years has warranted an award, or maybe it was just a PR stunt, or maybe they were paid and no one does any more or maybe... But that is the problem with speculation.
