I suppose the distance from Perth is given via Dava because Bradshaw presented it thus- but it's a little difficult these days to travel by train from Perth via Dava and Forres to Dalcross. A distance of 6 and three quarter miles from Inverness is, however, also given in the 1922 Bradshaw, which added to the 118 miles from Perth to Inverness via Aviemore and Carr Bridge would be 124 and three quarters, though there's no way of getting off at the old site. The near-insane proposal to establish a halt- allegedly to serve the airport, all of whose administrative buildings can only be reached from the proposed site expensively by taxi or shuttle bus - has had a long life, while the airport has steadily and sensibly simply expanded its parking areas. Its purpose was - and is- simply to provide Highland Council with an excuse not to improve the B9039, the main road access to the airport from Inverness, which it would have to do at its own cost. Neither Network Rail nor Transport Scotland need to do any more than play along. Delahays ( talk) 11:03, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

This is opening in a couple of weeks - should it now be called Inverness Airport? Crookesmoor ( talk) 15:26, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
On the Aberdeen to Inverness Line route template, as Inverness Airport station is on a different station site to that of the former Dalcross station site, should an entry of Inverness Airport station be added to that route line template?
