Do names repeat in this basin? If not, the date is not necessary unless there was a previous Cyclone Laurence. CrazyC83 ( talk) 04:15, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
Did this cyclone make any records? Like only the _th cat 5 to make landfall on this continent... or furthest south cat 5 landfall, etc? - Winter123 ( talk) 18:25, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
Laurence was the second most intense landfalling tropical cyclone on Western Australia in the history. BoM says here that the most intense landfalling tropical cyclone was a cyclone at Onslow in 1961 (921 hPa) and the second most intense landfalling cyclone was Amy at Goldsworthy in January 1980 (932 hPa).
However, the Mandora Weather Station recorded 929 hPa ( source here) during the Laurence's passage, which suprasses Amy. - Ramisses ( talk) 01:36, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
