All links are bad due to a comma being added at the end of each reference URL. I corrected one or 2 as part of correcting citations. May do the rest later.
Updated descriptions of several events and corrected or removed bad citations.

I made the championship list into a table and combined it with the list of winners. I also added a paragraph explaining the changing categories. And I also fixed most of the links in the references and added a citation needed tag where there are no reference to a results page from the championships.
