I believe that Jean Baudrillard refers to Crash in a section of Simulacra and Simulation. Downchuck 00:45, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
I added a link to this page from the page for the 2004 flick also called Crash, and one to that page from this page, just in case, (as happened to me) someone links here from a page simply calling it "Crash", and gets confused. Master Deusoma 23:26, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
The quote from Parveen Adams I found at http://www.depauw.edu/sfs/birs/bir87.htm. I can't remember how to do references in wikisyntax and I am out of time now so I will have to leave it as is for the time being. Ireneshusband 18:20, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
The sound track to this film was pretty cool, anyone know who it was by, or cares to include it in the article? ArdClose ( talk) 23:48, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
It says this under responses- "In Italy, the movie and its director were repeatedly attacked by La Repubblica film critic Irene Bignardi, while the Corriere della Sera critic Tullio Kezich wished the actors to go back to Cannes limping, to give the Palmarès back to the jury." What the heck does this mean?? Wished the actors to go back to Cannes limping?? to give the Palmares back to the jury?? What??-- 70.149.134.54 ( talk) 03:00, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
I remember reading back in 1996 that this film was not shown almost anywhere in the United States because Ted Turner indirectly controlled pretty much all American movie houses and was personally opposed to the film because, in his words, "What if kids see this thing and copy it?" If my memory is correct, this fact should be added to the sections on release and reception. 67.212.8.40 ( talk) 16:49, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
The article for Symphorophilia mentions this movie, but this movie's article does not mention Symphorophilia. Symphorophilia is a paraphilia in which sexuoerotism hinges on staging and watching a disaster such as a fire or traffic accidents. This movie's Symphorophilia seems to be brought about by sexuoerotic tragedy, which is a sexological term denoting an intense, memorable and influential event which is instrumental in altering a person's perception of what is and is not sexually arousing. Doubledragons ( talk) 19:19, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
The phrasing in the lead is odd, "a notable form of paraphilia," odd as the Symphorophilia article isn't linked to and is bordering on not being notable itself. Is the type of sexuality displayed in the film even a defined paraphilia? Either way it seems to need a source. ( Emperor ( talk) 03:19, 26 May 2012 (UTC))
I have a copy of another version of the movie poster, the one that was used after Crash won at Cannes, but don't know how to upload it. It's basically the same image as this one, but not blue, and has the Cannes info on it. If someone will tell me how to put it on the page, I'll do so. (Never done an image before). Thanks.-- TEHodson 13:04, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
