Thats right, several substances have an almond flavor that are not almonds; it is a peculiarity of the nut. Cyanide, for example, has a pleasant flavor of bitter almonds - try some today! 12.201.7.2 ( talk) 07:34, 9 September 2018 (UTC) reply
