We have articles on Corruption scandals in the Paris region, Corruption in Mumbai, Political Corruption in Guam.
There are two major, topical, corruption scandals running at the moment in Kenya, Goldenberg scandal and Anglo Leasing Scandal, either of which have the capability of bringing down the government. I think the title is reasonable; Kenya is well-known to have had, and is widely believed to still have, a large problem with corruption, and the topic is widely discussed internationally. I think it is reasonable to treat it here in overview. — Matt Crypto 23:20, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
According to the Corruption Perceptions Index there are only 4 countries in the world more corrupt than Kenya. [1] I think this is a reasonable article.-- Cherry blossom tree 11:11, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
I think we need to first work from the definition of political corruption (political corruption is the misuse of public (governmental) power for illegitimate, usually secret, private advantage) then focus on corruption in the government of Kenya. Each case also need to be classified to correspond to the president/current regime involved. Not all of the entries on this page involve corruption. For example, there was a plan to buy Czech fighters. The fact that that would have cost a large amount and that it ultimately did not happen does not equate the event to corruption. Those items which are simply "questionably large expenditures" should probably go elsewhere. - Harmil 23:14, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
