Denis Gifford's calculations on many titles (which are the base for the numbers available basically everywhere) unfortunately seem to be... guesstimates. Most do not seem to take industrial action; while uncommon before WW2, in 1947 a dispute led to most titles releasing an issue with multiple numbers on the cover. So just because the last issue had was #3006 it does not follow that there were 3006 issues. Obviously this is primary research, but I feel we need to play it down and avoid adding further misinformation. BoomboxTestarossa ( talk) 21:50, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
