How unspecific are we supposed to make the article?
There are at least two different methods used to perform the column chromatography described here. One involves adding the separable material as a solid pre-prepared on silica gel and then topping this layer with sand, the other involves drawing the separable material as a liquid into a sand layer. The article is easier to understand the way it was before I edited it, however it was misinforming. If nothing is said then I will come back and rewrite it to include both techniques, but this will likely make it more difficult to understand... Also the photo is a cool historic image, but the columns don't have resevoirs on them, the solid phase is right to the top, this is something a little different than described in the article.

The article is indeed in need of retooling. As mentioned, only one method is described (no mention of different packing and loading methods). Also the introductory section gets into rather specific information that might be better suited for a "techniques" section.

this should not be disambiguation, move poorly executed
no link between Column chromatography and HPLC try google on Column chromatography
Hey Overall good job on your article! Nice images! The only thing I noticed that really needs to be fixed is that you have an image insert that isn't showing up since its still a .png format. Other than that it looks good!
