As far as I know, he's never actually lived within College Station city limits. I know he owns a ranch about half an hour from CS, and presumably it was because of that he was included in the list of notable residents. I'm deleting his name. Dkostic 01:28, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
That picture is photoshopped.
College Station does not have sister cities in Germany or Russia —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 204.56.145.162 ( talk) 17:18, 8 May 2007 (UTC).
I'm no pedant, but that's not a legitimate use of the word. The distance from CS to Dallas is more than twice that from CS to Houston. Moreover, the distances given in the opening paragraph seem altered for the purpose of fitting this "approximately equidistant" claim. From downtown to downtown - let alone from boundary to boundary - College Station is closer to Houston than the distance listed. A completely different standard has been used to measure the distance from Dallas to College Station. With no malicious intent, the opening paragraph of this article was filled with grossly misleading information. It must be changed to reflect reality. LoginAccountUGH 00:22, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
I removed the sentence on cost of living. First, it wasn't cited. Second, I'm pretty sure it's incorrect--places like Laredo and Abilene almost certainly have a cheaper cost of living. -- Velvet elvis81 18:13, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
College station is nowhere near San Antonio —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.192.45.17 ( talk) 08:24, August 29, 2007 (UTC)
I'll be shocked if CS reaches a quarter million in 2025 unless there are some major changes in the job market around here. 128.194.26.248 13:35, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
I'm working on Bishop Zurek's Wiki page right now; he was the founding pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in College Station and spent 10 years there. The header does say "have lived OR currently living", so it's appropriate based on other entries in the list (including Chuck Norris, still there even though he's never lived in CS?) Racooper ( talk) 14:59, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
yea, I know...one controversy after another. you removed St. Joseph School, but left Allen, St. Michaels and Brazos Christian which are all also in Bryan. Either St. Joseph should be added as an "Area" school, or all the rest removed as not in College Station. Racooper ( talk) 02:41, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
Of all the info provided on this page and about 16 sections in the article altogether, there's only 5 references. -- Epborn ( talk) 21:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Does anyone know where a source giving the height of Kyle Field could be found? I haven't been able to figure out where the height listed for it in the Tallest buildings section of the article came from. EagleAg04 ( talk) 02:36, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Before adding people to this list, please make sure they're not already on the List of Texas A&M University people, and give citations. Also, RE: Henry C. Dethloff probably belongs on the TAMU List instead of in the College Station article. Racooper ( talk) 14:22, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
Should this section include information about entities other than the local municipality (and maybe Brazos County)? re: the Texas Forest Service addition. Racooper ( talk) 15:30, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I moved "Law and government" to the new "Government" section, revising it in a more neutral tone and removing the sentences that seemed to argue for the superiority of council-manager government over other forms. I also dropped the part that implies that council members serve without compensation of any kind ("part time volunteers"). That is certainly notable if true, but needs to be verified. — ℜob C. alias ᴀʟᴀʀoʙ 17:29, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
What can be done to remove the wikilink to Glenn Brown's name? it's not coded that way in the sidebar, and I the link points to a completely incorrect person. Racooper ( talk) 03:04, 22 July 2009 (UTC)
behind the person's name, even though the vast majority of city managers will never be notable. --

03:14, 22 July 2009 (UTC)I deleted the entire "City Name" headline, because all of its information was covered under Historical Events (plus Historical Events had cited it's information, whereas City Name had not), as well as a very biased paragraph at the end of the Northgate District section that talked of police officers setting up college students to pay fines (the paragraph was very informally written, had no citation, and stunk of bias). Hello. Should the shooting be considered part of the city's history? I do not thing this event is notable. There was a shooting in Boston with the same number of casualties yesterday [1]. In addition, shootings of this type are not rare in the U.S. ComputerJA ( talk) 02:08, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
Hi. This is just a thought. Right now the main picture for article is a picture of the TAMU campus. I know that TAMU is part of CS and that besides the university there are not a lot of landmarks in CS. Having said that, I think it is an overkill and a misrepresentation to show TAMU's campus as if that is the town. Yousowiki ( talk) 04:07, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

If I remember correctly, College Station and the nearby city of Bryan merged recently/will merge. What is to be done about this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Olgarmgn ( talk • contribs) 19:17, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
