If no-one objects, I think it would be a good idea to move Blaenclydach to this article. I believe a difference may have existed in 1900 but the adjoining communities can be considered to have intermerged long age. Blaenclydach in WP has no content except a Geograph photograph. I'm asking the photographer if he has any objection or comment. Cheers Bjenks ( talk) 02:50, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Here's a site which says the Nant Clydach is a tributary of the Taff, not the Rhondda. Any thoughts on that one? I can't find an online map which gives the answer. Cheers, Bjenks ( talk) 13:31, 2 October 2010 (UTC)
So I'm changing it, and also fixing up the River Taff article. Cheers, Bjenks ( talk) 03:09, 8 October 2010 (UTC)At Quakers Yard, the Taf Bargoed and Cynon merge with the Taff and slightly further downstream the Nant Clydach joins. At Pontypridd, the Rhondda merges and the valley further broadens out and runs through Treforest towards Cardiff in the lower reaches of the South Wales Valleys. . .
I have a problem with this. The maps, including the Natural Resources Wales flood map which is used to define river categories show the Nant Clydach flowing into the Rhondda at Tonypandy. The Rhondda flows for another 5km to the confluence with the Taff, and therefore I think the article as edited is now incorrect.
