Is there any information on what this middle initial stands for? Tyciol ( talk) 12:55, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
I know that I could edit it, but I don't personally want to do that. The question is this: although being specific is a good thing, this may be pejorative. After all -- what makes pictures "racy"? Maybe the paragraph should simply state that the photos exist, and that they have something to do with his resignation. I'm fine with that. But maybe explaining later in the article about why those photos matter might be enough.
I'm just throwing this out there. I'll let others debate it if necessary, and make the appropriate editing call. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.64.200.45 ( talk) 00:32, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Was it really a "scandal"? There was disclosure of an attempted adultery episode, but he resigned before it developed into a scandal. None of the cited sources call it a scandal. Will Beback talk

I have protected this article to prevent the ongoing edit war. Please discuss your issues here on the talk page and come to a consensus moving forward. Note that this is a WP:BLP so we tend to err on the side of caution and poorly sourced information can and should be removed. Please use the reliable sources noticeboard if there are questions around sources noting Gawker's entry states it is generally unreliable, particularly for BLPs. When consensus is achieved the article can be unprotected. Woody ( talk) 20:30, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi,
Earlier today, I requested that certain parts of the article about Chris Lee, a New York politician, be removed. I removed two or three sentences that insinuated he resigned because he sent a "shirtless photo" to a "woman on Craigslist." The source for this information was cited as a Gawker article; Gawker.com is no longer operational due to repeated allegations of defamation and false gossip, although its subsidiaries are still active. The information regarding a "shirtless photo" is not relevant to this individual's political career and can be considered defamation, particularly because it comes from an unreliable source.
I tried to edit this content multiple times, and when an administrator undid my work, I repeated my action and explained myself in the explanation section. Please republish my content, as it is more neutral and provides a more well-rounded overview of this individual that is better suited for Wikipedia. Thank you. 2601:282:4302:94A0:C1CA:5372:760C:9A9C ( talk) 02:57, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
