Passenger numbers
Does the "53 passengers" include the six crew members? I have assumed so in adding the info into the summary template. --

In it, it states 47 passengers, 6 crew members and 2 on the ground died in this tragedy. --anon
Schedule timing
I'm confused. The wiki article says that the plane departed 15 min. ahead of schedule, yet said the crew arrived just 20 minutes before scheduled departure. How can that be? --anon
China Yunnan Airlines merged into China Eastern Airlines in 2003, so the aircraft was operating for China Eastern at the time, not China Yunnan.

Explosion?
The article says that witnesses reported seeing the plane explode in mid-air. Is that consistent with an icing problem being the cause of the accident?
