I'm a student at WashU, and as part of the Behavioral Ecology 2024 Wiki Education Assignment, I wanted to give you some feedback on this Wikipedia page. I've sent in a Google document with edits regarding this article to the Wiki assignment. Overall, I thought this article was very-well written and thought out. I had only a few grammatical and spelling suggestions, however, most of the focus of my comments was on working on your flow. Otherwise, great job. It was very informative and well-written, and I enjoyed learning about the beetle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikakipnisuser ( talk • contribs) 04:59, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Overall, this was really well written and cited! I just made a few minor changes to make the information more clear (split up some sentences, added some commas, and elaborated on some of the information from sources). One more significant change I made was with the number of phenotypes under the color polymorphism section. In general, though, great job! You covered a lot of topics and the entry was easy to understand. Esacchetti ( talk) 20:12, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
Overall, a great submission. Maintained a neutral tone and effectively introduced many facts about the beetle! I went through and did minor grammar, word choice, and syntax choice edits to help improve clarity and concision throughout the page. I also changed the heading under diet from "Larvae" to "Larvae Diet." Finally, I added a picture after the habitat section to give some more illustration to the page! There was a large variety of topics that gave a great overview of this beetle. If you ever want to elaborate or research more to add, I would suggest adding more details on the pre-copulatory courtship behavior, predation, or life cycle! I think this article was very well-written and engaging. The only changes I made were organizational and cutting some repetitive information. I changed “Color polymorphism” from a subheading under the “Description” section to its own section because I think the color polymorphism is one of the most notable characteristics about the neotropical tortoise beetle. Also, in the short description at the beginning, there was some mating information and geographical information that I moved to their respective sections later on in the article or cut out of the introduction so the same information is not repeated twice. Overall, I think this article is very well done and shows a lot of effort. Geluck.t ( talk) 18:15, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
