Quote from the article:
"In 1914 he went to Bulgaria with his brother Noel and was wounded in an attack by a Turkish assassin".
Although the Buxton brothers were campaigning for Bulgaria, the attempted murder happened in Bucharest, Romania.
In the evening of septemmber 26, 1914, the brothers were received by the King Carol I of Romania. A few hours later, during the night, the King died suddenly (after a reign of 48 years). The brothers are well known for the Romanian historians since they were the last visitors the King ever received before dying.
Their attempted murder happened a few days later, on October 2 (the same day the King was buried). The brothers left the Athenee Palace hotel and boarded a cab. In that moment, Hassan Tahsin Effendi (I found all kind of spellings for that name), a member of the Ottoman Special Organization, opened fire on them. Charles was hit in the chest while Noel was hit in the jaw. Both survived the attack.
I do not think there is a mistake in the article and do not think what you say is in conflict with what is in the article. That said, I think you should feel free to edit the article along the lines you have demonstrated. Currently the article is too brief and possibly misleading. The section also lacks an in-line citation. I have checked the likely source, the ODNB which says "In 1914 he went to Bulgaria with his brother Noel, on a mission to persuade the country to support the allies, in the course of which both brothers were wounded in an attack by a Turkish would-be assassin; Charles was shot through the lung." The wiki editor chose not to include the purpose for their visit, perhaps because another source, Who's Who says "During the War (1914–15) went on a political mission with his brother, Lord Noel-Buxton, with the object of securing the neutrality of Bulgaria; in the course of this an attempt was made on their lives by a Turkish assassin (Oct. 1914), and he was shot through the lung". I think the reason for the visit is more likely to have been the latter.
