Charles Richards, a NASA engineer used the Rogallo wing to build one weight-shift kite: NASA Paresev, which inspired John W. Dickenson to build and sell portable ski-kites. His ski kites were then improved to make soarable hang gliders. Neither NASA or C. Richards were ever in the business of creating hang gliders, but a steerable parachute for the Gemini Space Program. See: History of hang gliding. The Federation Aeronautique Internationale (FAI) has determined already John. W. Dickenson the inventor of the Modern Hang Glider and extended such recognition: [1]. I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 ( talk) 01:20, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
