Is this the same as Wavelength division multiplexing? If so this link should probably be updated... Does WDMA actually hava a meaning?? It does not seem to be mentioned on the Wavelength division multiplexing page at all... All in all, I'm fairly confused by this as I have no experience in this field. A discussion is currently ongoing at Template talk:Channel access methods about what is the most apropriate way to cathegorize channel-access schemes. In the end of this article, I have added a few references showing how they are cathegorized in the literature, but we need more references. Mange01 ( talk) 11:04, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
I find it difficult to understand how a form of Multiple Access is based on a form of Multiplexing, eg. TDMA is based on TDM. I can understand that the multiplexing is on the phys. layer, while the multiple access is on the datalink layer ... but is this the actual difference of the two? And if so, isn't "based on" a bit misleading or unfulfilling? -- 130.149.243.131 ( talk) 14:50, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
We have a section in the article titled Code division multiple access (CDMA)/Spread spectrum multiple access (SSMA). CDMA is covered in the section but there is no further mention of SSMA. Is SSMA a synonym for CDMA? If so that should be mentioned in Code-division multiple access. ~ Kvng ( talk) 21:45, 14 December 2018 (UTC)
