I don't think it's really appropriate to refer to the Edessans associated with the Chaldean Syrian Church as "Non-Chalcedonians". The Non-Chalcedonian article indicates that the term refers to those who had accepted the Council of Ephesus, but because of their strong emphasis on the hypostatic unity of Christ felt that they could not accept the Council of Chalcedon. Before the expulsion of numerous scholars in the mid 5th century, however, Edessa was the center of those who followed Theodore of Mopsuestia, and had an opposite Christology to the Non-Chalcedonians and in contrast did not accept even the First Council of Ephesus. Thus, I think the name should be changed from "Non-Chalcedonian" to "Nestorian" or perhaps "Non-Ephesine". Deusveritasest ( talk) 21:32, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Jacobite Syrian Christian Church which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. — RMCD bot 14:46, 24 June 2019 (UTC)
Why content is silent about Syrian migration in AD345 and AD825? Is it not fair to admit that both west and east Syrians (Syriacs and Nestorians) existed in Malabar pre 1498? Writing history with prejudice and bias will get rejected. 116.68.81.255 ( talk) 13:28, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
