Just thought this play should have its own page, since it was the predominant version of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew for a good two hundred years. Much like Nahum Tate created a revisionist "happy ending" to King Lear, David Garrick wrote a different Taming of the Shrew which people considered canon until the twentieth century. Some of the text is copied from the Wikipedia page on The Taming of the Shrew. Bellerophone29 ( talk) 18:18, 21 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Garrick's play is entitled "Catherine and Petruchio"

Garrick's play is entitled "Catherine and Petruchio" so I have corrected the misspellings except for the title of the article, which change I do not know how to do. Would someone please help me? I have a copy of the original script with the correct title so I am not guessing about the spelling. WordwizardW ( talk) 20:42, 2 September 2020 (UTC) reply
