Can someone put in a sentence to say approximately how many of their songs are in the English language and how many in Welsh ? Johncmullen1960 08:07, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
Image:EqualCurse.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
This section (moved from the article) seems to be more about Cerys Matthews than the band. -- Northernhenge ( talk) 22:20, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
The article currently contains the following, clearly biased comments: Catatonia deliberately tried to make their songs accessible to a broad audience, while at the same time not shying away from original, experimental, or even potentially abrasive sounds. The result was a mix of hooky pop and underground indie rock. Their songs are characterized by clever lyrics and Matthews' enticing, raspy, prominently Welsh accented vocals, which made her something of a sex symbol.
I suggest this needs either referencing or removing.

This is a considerable effort overall, really informative, though I do think the prose needs some work to avoid sounding like a magazine in places. It's good enough for GA, but might benefit from a further vigorous copyedit. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:25, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

I strongly believe Catatonia are part of the post-Britpop era and not the Britpop era. Britpop came to an end in 1997. Catatonia came to prominence in 1998, when Britpop died, and post-Britpop began, much like with Embrace. Therefore, they should be listed as a post-Britpop act, and not a Britpop act.
