I leave it to scholars to better describe the important early Marian paintings at this site; however, I have removed the utterly confusing phrase "a standing man with a tunic his left hand a book, in the right hand is a star over his head as a symbol of the messiah" from the reference to the early Madonna and child painting. The catacombs of Priscilla are not located under the S.Martino ai Monti church; in fact, it is outside the Aurelian Wall on Via Salaria near Villa Ada. This is a factual error. Andreas84 ( talk) 18:45, 15 September 2009 (UTC) reply
