The contents of the Peavey (tool) page were
merged into
Cant hook on 7 April 2018. For the contribution history and old versions of the redirected page, please see its history; for the discussion at that location, see
its talk page.
Why does 'Boat Hook' redirect here? They are not the same thing. They are, in fact, quite different things.
They are significant and notable versions of the same tool; both would pass
WP:N. However they are most readably described for an encyclopedia as one overall article.

A maul and an axe are related, a maul and a sledge hammer are related, most of these have separate pages. Most of the screw drives have separate pages. Seems like people just like messing about.

Support merge: that the two terms are sometimes use synonymously (unlike, for example, a maul and axe) suggest that a merge would be appropriate. Both articles are also very short, so it is better to have one good page than two sub-standard ones. Perhaps keep Peavy as a section in Cant Hook, as a notable variant.
