The images collide with each other so that the article looks weird. Someone who have any ideas of howto? My hunch: all images left-floating. Rursus 12:00, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Do the Canes Venaticids actually exist? An Internet search identifies them with Gary Kronk's Canids, whose radiant is in Canis Minor. He also doubts their very existence. Eroica 13:45, 27 July 2005 (UTC)
The image in the history section seems to be flipped. Corona should be on the left and Canes Venatici should be on the right. Perhaps this is a top down view? This should at least be noted. Aeson25 ( talk) 15:55, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
According to this article, Cor Caroli was named by Sir Edmund Halley. However, in the Cor Caroli article, it says the star was named by Sir Charles Scarborough. They can't both be true. Can someone find out the truth and correct the mistaken article? Aerodave ( talk) 03:45, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
Citations heavily needed in the section History – my ordinary reaction would be to add a template
![]() | This section includes a
list of references,
related reading, or
external links, but its sources remain unclear because it lacks
inline citations. |
But it has become too repetitive by now: some categories of wikipedia articles attract undue WP:SYNTH editors. The statements made in the sections are wild and preposterous and need some citable source to survive. Rursus dixit. ( mbork3!) 07:51, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
Please create a redirect page from Canis_Venatici pointing to
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canes_Venatici
the latin plural is sort of obscure and a redirect page would be very helpful. Thank you.
In the section "History", the page says this:
In his star catalogue, the Czech astronomer Bečvář assigned the names Asterion to β CVn and Chara to α CVn.
Shouldn't it be the other way? Thanks! Hdjensofjfnen ( U T C) 18:33, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
Hi! I noticed that the current IPA doesn't match with the phonetic respelling, which comes from Space.com. An IAU source gives the phonetic respelling that would match the IPA. Would it be fine to replace it with the IAU respelling/source? https://www.iau.org/public/themes/constellations/ That has it as "CANE-eez (CAN-eez) ve-NAT-iss-eye".
