Tags such as <br>, <big>, and others are not necessary. The formatting headers and paragraphing take care of all that for you.
Citing a source in an MLA format isn't neccessasry. If you need to cite a reference again that you've already listed before in the article, this is how you do it:
Example
In the article:
This is the statement that needs a reliable source.<ref name="MySource1">My reference goes here.</ref>
Later in the article:
This is the statement I need to reference the earlier source again.<ref name="MySource1"/>
The MediaWiki software will cite the first source for you again automatically, and you don't have to type it in again. :-)
Punctuation of a sentence goes before the reference. (if applicable)
