Is it ok to put an external link to activism matters? I have no persoal knowledge nor interest in Benton Harbor affairs but came across this Benton_Harbor_Activism page by accident

Apparently there is a significant and ongoing crisis of toxic levels of lead and other pollutants in the drinking water in Benton Harbor, that has been going on for some time. Shouldn't this notable information be available to Wikipedia users?

The lede currently says "It is the smaller, by population, of the two principal cities in the Niles–Benton Harbor Metropolitan Statistical Area, an area with 156,813 people" without mentioning the larger. This strikes me as a bit awkward. Would "It is the second largest city in the Niles-Benton Harbor Metropolitan Statistical Area, an area with 156,813 people" be better?
