Reconstruction of Terminal 2 (Int'l terminal) at Belgrade Airport is not finished - International Arrivals have moved to new T2, however Departures are still being handled by (domestic) Terminal 1. Seen it myself today.
I have also removed a number of new updates since they're based on unreliable sources (such as rumors or promises made by untrustworthy politicians). The language of these updates was also appaling.
Please do check the facts when you edit existing information on this page, as it's by rule double checked, or seen in person.

Is there any kind of source for Centavia destinations and date of their commencement, as I only managed to find company's website of questionable reliability? I know for a fact that Centavia does not even hold national AOC, nor is it clear when are they due to receive it and under which conditions. Meelosh 09:19, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Centavia will receive its AOC code when it gets its second aircraft this July because under the new aviation law for an airline to start service it must have at least 2 aircrafts. First one was received in June (which I saw personally in the Jat Technics hanger). You can find some news here. The routes are based on what the director of the airline said to the media. Sure, I saw the pictures as I'm subscribed to YuSpotters as well, but I also recall statements made by Mr Vujović only a year ago concering another Serbian low cost carrier ( Air Maxi) - it was quite similar list of destinations, and Air Maxi failed even to lease a plane. I'll admit things have gone further this time, but destination list is still quite impressive for an airline that did not even commence its operations.

Air Maxi was supposed be a creation of Delta Group and lead by Vujovic. They wanted to use Aviogenex planes but it didn't work out for some reason. I think that the routes they are proposing are risky for an airline that's just starting out but we will see. Thanks Meelosh :) Regards LukaP
I edited the terminal 1 and 2 section. As of the 10th of July terminal 1 will be closed because Montenegro Airlines, Jat ( Podgorica and Tivat flights) and Aviogenex will move to Terminal 2. T1 will go under reconstruction soon. LukaP

In response to your question on Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport history page:

Terminal 1 used to be domestic terminal during the era of socialist Yugoslavia, when domestic destinations were abundant, and departures much more frequent than those to international destinations. Following the breakup of the country, this terminal was used in fact only for domestic traffic (at that time to Priština, Podgorica and Tivat) - however, as two terminals are at airside separated only by glass barrier in the middle of A concourse, that barrier was moved. Prior to the change, international terminal (T2) used gates A1 through A4, while gates A5 though A10 were used for domestic traffic at T1. Later this was changed, so domestic terminal (T1) used only gates A7-A10, while the others became part of international terminal.
So, while British Airways has been using gate A1 (and I beleive it still regularly does), it has never been a part of domestic terminal (T1). Terminal 2, apart from A gates, uses gates C1-C6, which are exclusively international gates. Best regards, Meelosh 15:22, 7 November 2006 (UTC).
This article is on the way of becoming a good article by Wikipedia standards, but also has a potential of becoming a featured article in the future. However, there are still some sections of the airport's business which are not addressed at all, or in sufficient detail. Also, lack of cited sourced is surely a major issue in this process - I will try to contribute as much as possible, but I would also ask other contributors to add their sources of information in the future, and try to rectroactively update already added info with sources.
What I see is lacking is: spotter information (construction of the artificial hill for spotting and inclusion of aircraft type and gate in the live departures/arrivals section on the website), detailed info on ground services (such as who runs check-in, which sections exist, the role of company Support which was derived from Jat Airways), commercial facilities at the airport (including airline offices), detailed info on gates and airside concourses (where are A, B, C and D gates, and who is using them), something on security, ATC and other info on airport related services on site (such as customs depot, oil storage, parking). Perhaps there should also be a line or two on the nearby museum.
If anyone considers to be an expert or able to write a passage on these subject, it would be a great contribution to this article. However, try to post your intentions here, just so that we don't duplicate the efforts in the beginning. Regards, Meelosh 13:11, 11 November 2006 (UTC).
I want to make clear that Gazpromavia have been operating flights to Belgrade for years. They fly every Saturday into Belgrade from both Moscow-Vnukovo (GZP157/158) and from Adler/Sochi(GZP161/162). They are not seasonal as they have been flying all year round for years. JU580 12:45, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

I've reverted the last two sets of edits ( [1], [2]) made by 212.178.247.98 ( talk · contribs), as no references were provided for the additions, and no explnations were given for the removals. The addition of unsourced content is against WP:VERIFY, which is a policy. Does BNTA really have two terminals? It seems only for check-in. Whether you land at the A-gates or the C-gates, you head for the same passport control, the same baggage reclaim and exit the same arrival hall. It seems the only times the terminals are different is for checking in, once through departures, two become just one. The Big Hoof! ( talk) 12:25, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
I'd like to draw attention to this, where it is mentioned the fact that there is no consensus for including destination maps in airport articles. I've removed them from the article accordingly. I noticed the destinations map at some other airport articles, so I guess the IP may probably think "Hey, if those articles have them, why shouldn't this one as well?" The best thing would definitely be to make a consensus about this at WP:AIRPORTS (if possible, of course), trying to bring as much editors as possible to participate at the discussion, possibly by calling editors from other related wiki projects such as WP:Aviation and others. I expanded the history section in order to include the first airfields. Also, I made one minor but possibly significant change. The prior version stated that the first international airport was opened in 1927. But that is misleading. The Pančevo airport was also an international airport and was opened earlier, in 1923. The difference is that the airport of Dojno Polje, which started operating in 1927, was officially known as "Belgrade International Airport" (Međunarodno vazdušno pristanište Beograd). Are the tickets for the Arkia flights available for the public in general? Given the info in this source I highly doubt that. Wikipedia:WikiProject_Airports/page content#Passenger states: 10 Do not include ad-hoc, irregular, or private charter services., That seems to be the very case here conform what the source says: Sun d’Or will compete directly against Arkia Israeli Airlines’ two weekly flights between the two cities, however, Arkia does not sell individual tickets, offering them instead as part of tour packages from Israel.
IMHO, Arkia flies non-public services, so it should be removed until tickets are free on the market.

I am troubled by the fact that: - most (if not all) external links are leading to ONE web site only. - OFFICIAL websites are frowned upon. Apparently, a page on the airline's (or airport's) web site has NO MEANING, and is always deleted, and of course, replaced by that ONE web site only.
What is the strange logic behind this? - we want to promote ONE site only? - the official data is incorrect? But we are happy to provide one site data which relies on the official data? Algoritam1 ( talk) 07:26, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
