Is Zach Condon really Lou Reed's grandson? A quick web search doesn't turn up any confirmation. I suspect vandalism. Gmarsden 19:15, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
I just added the *age* template to the beginning of the article, but I don't know his exact birthday. If anyone does, please update the tag. Gmarsden 12:57, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Hm...The NPR article linked (May 4, 2006) said he was 19; the AP article (26 June, 2006) says 20. Puddleglum 23:10, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
In the South by Southwest Concert on March 16, 2007, he stated that he just turned 21 "about two weeks ago" which would put his birth date at probably early March 1986. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stoplooklisten ( talk • contribs) 01:01, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
the discography doesn't include the aforementioned LP that only has two songs on it. I don't know how to edit pages to include pictures
also, iTunes refers to Pompeii as a single. Thoughts? Topperray 22:44, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Image:Beirut pompeii.jpeg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:09, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Currently, searching for Zach Condon redirects to this article. However, I feel that the man and the band are seperate enough to warrant a seperate page just for Condon. He wrote much of it himself, but there is a whole group of people who work with him. I don't want to create a new page just yet, but does anyone else agree with me on this? Topperray 21:44, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
I see there's been a "citation needed" link added to it, but can anyone confirm it? I looked on Google and I couldn't find anything. Vandalism, maybe? 24.0.193.173 ( talk) 01:59, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
In the main section the name "Zach" is used instead of "Condon" when referring to Zach Condon. Shouldn't the last name be used instead of the first? MrHen. ( talk) 16:35, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
I've replaced the reference that pointed towards BBC Music Profiles with a fact tag for the reason that BBC Music Profiles is a mirror of wikipedia:

Referring to that page is therefore inappropriate. Catfish Jim and the soapdish ( talk) 11:13, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
I'm unfamiliar with Brazilian TV, but apparently there was a show based on a book that used Elephant Gun, which made Beirut popular in Brazil supposedly? Does anyone know the title of the show, or have a reason why Beirut can now be considered popular in Brazil? I'd ask the nice fellow who added these points directly, but alas he has no account. Thanks for the help, though! Banjaloupe ( talk) 18:50, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

I doubt there are enough credible sources for the rumored new album or film, but I thought I'd compile the current ones here—
—Again, I don't know just how credible any of these are, but hey.
Also, I don't think that the genre list touches on every aspect of the band's music. I want to add something along the lines of mariachi (March of the Zapotec) and chanson (The Flying Club Cup), since Balkan music doesn't cover all of that, but I can't find any sources. Would someone help with this? - 30daysinAKK ( talk) 00:10, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
I noticed that someone changed the information about band members and they added Perrin Cloutier to the former band members, do you have any references of the departure of Perrin Cloutier? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.215.151.132 ( talk) 17:45, 14 June 2015 (UTC)

I was reading the news about the cancellation of 2008 european tour but one of the footnotes is to an article of the SF weekly related to the same situation happened in 2006, not 2008, as confirmed by this other article of the Blogotheque: en.blogotheque.net/2007/09/11/beirut-en/ I just made changes to the text writing that it already happened in 2006 but actually this information should be moved in the correct timeline. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.58.105.39 ( talk) 15:40, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
