This page needs a serious workover; it doesn't even read like an encyclopedia article, but like a listing in a compendium of geographical features. Yet there is a wealth of information. Someone with some time and geological knowledge could turn this into a B-class article in 30 minutes.

The first thing, which needs to be done to is move this article from
Beacon sandstone to
Beacon Supergroup and make "Beacon sandstone" a redirect. If a person looks at any recent literature about this stratigraphic unit, they will find that the "Beacon sandstone" is antiquated and obsolete terminology for this unit. "Beacon Supergroup" is the currently accepted nomenclature for this unit. For the details and documentation, go see:
