BAYMENS CHARACTER Sorry but this section seems quite offensive. Unless someone produces a reference for this I'll remove it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.34.70.121 ( talk) 14:22, 10 September 2009 (UTC) reply

It doesn't matter if anyone has a reference or not; if someone had a section called "Character" on a page about, say, African-Americans, it wouldn't matter how many references one could cite, the section would be deemed unacceptable and removed. Wikipedia is not the forum for stereotypes. Consequently I am removing the section, and not waiting for anyone to weigh in with references. Shrikeangel ( talk) 23:03, 10 September 2009 (UTC) reply

"Baymen" is a generic word

The term "baymen" is a generic word for anyone who lives around a bay. The title of this article gives a misleading impression that the term only applies to a specific locale. I would recommend renaming this article to "Baymen (Bay of Honduras)". Saratoga Sam ( talk) 20:29, 2 November 2023 (UTC) reply
