Besides the fact that this article is currently not about the battle, I'm not sure it't at the right date.
List of battles (alphabetical) says the battle was in 1499. Anybody know?

The Venetians came back for a rematch the year after the First Battle of Lepanto. And lost again. (source - Collins Encylopaedia of Military History).

From VfD: contains just one small fact, but even that is incorrect. Cervantes was in the
Battle of Lepanto (1571).
I've added details on the Second battle (1500) - not to be confused with the 1st (1499) or third (1571), or the Battles of Chalcis and Naupactus which took place in 429BC.

Just to add - I haven't removed the Cervantes comment yet, but - well, he wasn't even born in 1500. I'm not sure if it's the done thing for me to remove it?
