Sorry, it seems to be untrue. Samminte "probably" won the "first" battle but some days later a new army led by Caius Fabius came and help the dictator Quintus Fabius Maximus Rullianus to have a definite victory. (Livy, IX, 23). Vale!

Disscussing some changes to this page
Hello, my name is Ciara and I'm an Undergraduate student at Ball State University. I am working on a project that I have to find academic sources to fill in a stub on Wikipedia. I randomly chose this Roman Battle and with some success have found some good sources for this article. I was contacting all of the editors for this page to request if I could put my information up since I have some really academic sources: Salmon, E.T. (1967). Samnium and the Samnites. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press. pp. 234-36. ISBN
ISBN9780521061858, Forsythe, Gary (2005). A Critical History of Early Rome. Berkeley: University of California Press. pp. 305.
ISBN0520226518, and there are two more sources I might use from JSTOR. I would really appreciate if you would allow me to post this information. Until I hear from you, Best Wishes. --

Hello, again. Since, I didn't hear a response from you I went ahead and posted my information. I had to do this for a class and was on time constraints. I hope that was okay. If there is any problem please don't hesitate to post back and let me know. Thank you so much, and have wonderful holidays. --
