I don't know about the date, but I was under the impression that the the final stage of the battle was closer to Lea marsh than to Foxby Hill. [Pete Spindley] —Preceding

Who won?
The lead: A short-lived attempt to capture it for Parliament was defeated by Charles Cavendish.
"Seeing this, Cromwell, Major Whalley and three troops of Royalist horse attacked Cavendish and his reserve from the rear."
This doen't make sense as it stands. Surely "Royalist horse" should read "Parliamentary horse". If anyone can confirm, please make the change or conform here and I will.
