Hi Paul, I want to discuss about the name of the thai football club in the case that club name change was add the sponsor in front of the club name. In this case happened with
True Bangkok United F.C. page. In my opinion I think it not necessary to change club name, people know that Bangkok United is Bangkok United not "True Bangkok United" and in this case if the sponsor not renew a contract the club will change to any title name due to sponsorship agreement but the real name that everyone understand and know forever is Bangkok United. So i think sponsor name is not necessary to be a title name of the club in Wikipedia that was free encyclopedia not official encyclopedia. Although it was official name in 2018 in match management system but everyone or press or AFC will regis in the name of Bangkok United because enter the sponsor name make wikipedia no credibility enough because of frequent changes due to sponsorship agreement. I want you to consider this. Thank

You're right that Wikipedia doesn't always use official names, especially when they're likely to be temporary sponsorship agreements. (See
WP:Official names for details.) In the case of Bangkok United, I think the article should probably remain at the old title for now, at least until it's clear whether third-party sources follow the change. --

From Thai League official website
Club data, in 2018 season the club registered by the name True Bangkok United, True corporation by Mr.Kajorn Chearavanont isn't only a sponsor but they are the club owner as same as Mitr Phol group was the owner of Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC

Thank for explain
Gunkiet, I think in the same way that you explain Mitr Phol group doesn't owned the club due to information that on the Stock Exchange of Thailand Ratchaburi Mitr Phol FC was owned by Nitikarnchana family - and - in the case of PT Prachuap FC PT doesn;t owned the club just sponsor of the team too. The point of official or not isn't the key Issues because in cases
WP:Official names that
Paul_012 explain above. In the issue of True Bangkok United AFC will regis only Bangkok United because AFC doesn't permitted to use trademark to be name of the club so will although they are the club owner but the purpose for this is still for advertise the company. From this issue, I would like to have a thorough consideration of what should be determined otherwise it will often change due to sponsorship agreement. Thank

It'll mostly depend on what ends up being the common usage that appears in reliable sources. Which is why I'd recommend waiting a few months first. --
