I'm the subject of this article, Avi Wisnia. I have worked with a friend who is an experienced writer and researcher--I did not pay them--and developed a much improved and more accurate version of this biography.
As you can see, the draft is more thorough, better referenced, updated, and illustrated.
I have made every possible effort to remain neutral and non-promotional despite my obvious conflict of interest. I did this by relying only on trusted and reputable sources for each piece of information or description.
Please review the sandbox draft and replace it as the main article when you are ready!
@
Lightoil, Thank you so much for looking at the request.
I expanded and improved on the current draft, so I don't consider this draft to be a replacement. I built off the current article, and kept the lede, entire discography, and info box that was already there.
For the sake of making the article better-sourced, I added nearly 90 references and much more information about career, touring, LGBT community involvement, connections to the Holocaust, and also a high quality image.
Would you please look at the content of the suggested change and let me know what you think of it or how you would like me to propose such a significant update.
@
Lightoil, hi! I want to personally move this "rewrite'" (not replacement) live, because I worked through every citation of it with Mr. Wisnia. He's a long-time friend of mine from summer camp in Pennsylvania. I spent hours with him compiling and culling sources. I also worked on tone, prose, narrative, and structure. I think it's an excellent 'improvement'.
Lastly, there is a very special documentary coming out on April 18th on
PBS about Avi and his grandfather, a survivor of
Auschwitz. It would mean a lot to have a complete article about his living relative (and documentary figure) in place when it airs. I know that's not "Wikipedia's problem", but it's my deep wish.
