This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the company is a important player in the global market. With about 4,000 employees, Atotech serves a wide range of successful products and services in the chemical industry.-- Koenigsteiner ( talk) 15:10, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi. I am declaring here, as well as on my user page that I work for Atotech. It is my understanding that Wikipedia policy disallows users from editing articles in which they have a vested interest, so therefore I am stating my interest. The page is in dire need of updating and improvements, and I hope, with your help, to create an article that is useful for readers interested in learning about the company. I have observed other COI editors and how they interact with Wikipedia and have noticed that sometimes they make edits on their own, and sometimes they request edits be made by other users on their behalf. I wonder if you can clarify when it is appropriate to make an edit on my own, and when it is better to request an edit. Thank you. Below I would like to request my first edit: AtotechUser ( talk) 11:17, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
We would like to see a new section called "Corporate structure" added to the article after the History section and before the Products section with the following content:
The company is composed of two main business units: Electronics and General Metal Finishing. Of the over 3,800 employees, approximately 56% are in Asia; 35% are in Europe; and 9% are in the Americas. [1]
Atotech operates in more than 40 countries including Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, South Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, India, Singapore, Canada, Brazil and the USA. [2] It runs 17 TechCenters, 14 chemical production plants and 2 equipment production sites. [3]
In March 2017, Geoff Wild was appointed as CEO [4] of Atotech. The company’s CFO [5] is Peter Frauenknecht. John Stephenson heads the operations of the Group as COO. [6] — Preceding unsigned comment added by AtotechUser ( talk • contribs) 11:43, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

Please create a new section after the History section and before the Products section:
The company is committed to sustainability through a self-imposed adherence to stricter standards than required by law to protect the environment, users and production workers. The company also offers customers environmentally friendly products which may help them improve their sustainability profile. Atotech published its first Green Development Roadmap in 2010. [1] By 2018 there were less than 5% toxic substances in their chemical products. Some 38% of R&D projects are dedicated to sustainable goals. [2] AnnaAtAtotech ( talk) 19:48, 2 June 2019 (UTC)

Please add a new section with the following content:
A high percentage of sales are reinvested in R&D. [1] The company owns over 2,100 patents. [2] Atotech collaborates with major research centers to develop new chemistries and processes to reduce the size of semiconductor devices. [3] The company also supports research in a variety of disciplines. [4]
Thank you.

Thank you to the editors who have been helping me up until this point. I have just a few more rounds of edit requests to make and wanted to submit my requests for the history section today. I am looking over and trying to learn from the pushback offered so far from @ Spintendo:. Here are my requests for the history section at the moment. Thanks again AnnaAtAtotech ( talk) 08:38, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
1. The first sentence of the “History” section is factually incorrect and also confusing. It says "Atotech traces its origins to the pharmaceutical company Schering AG, which was founded in 1851."
2. The second paragraph currently reads: “In 1901, the electroplating division was launched. It produced salt mixtures for storing metals with the brand name Trisalyt.” Which is ambiguous and doesn’t give context.
3. After the second sentence in the history section about the year 1901, I'd like to fill in the large gaps. Please add:
4. The third paragraph about 1936 in the history section misses one of the key developments of that year.
5. After the 1936 paragraph please add: "In 1937 the company was renamed Schering AG." [4]
6. Finally, before the paragraph beginning “In 1993” please add: "In 1971 the company opened a 5,000 square meter facility for the manufacture of equipment in Feucht."

I am trying to understand the issues that @ Spintendo: pointed out and I'm resubmitted the request with corrections to those issues. I hope everything is ok now and that I haven't taken up too much of your time. AnnaAtAtotech ( talk) 10:44, 5 June 2019 (UTC)
1. The first sentence of the “History” section is factually incorrect and also confusing. It says "Atotech traces its origins to the pharmaceutical company Schering AG, which was founded in 1851."
2. The reference used for point 2 is in the Schering library and is not in the Atotech library. There are no other references that I know of dating this far back for this point, but I wanted to clarify the existing information on Wikipedia for the benefit of readers.
5. After the 1936 paragraph please add: "In 1937, Schering-Kahlbaum AG was renamed Schering AG." [4] — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnaAtAtotech ( talk • contribs) 10:45, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi. I'm making two edit requests today based on feedback I received from Spintendo, and then on a new section request.
1. The third paragraph about 1936 in the history section misses one of the key developments of that year. Spintendo pointed out an issue with the use of the word "Now" and I've changed that wording. This would take the place of what is currently on the wiki for the year 1936.
2. I'm requesting the addition of a section called International Expansion with four subsections. It would read like this:

In 2011, Atotech launched its first production facility for the manufacture of high purity chemistry in Neuruppin in Berlin. The site has a capacity to produce 35,000 tons of chemicals per year. [2]
In 2015 Atotech opened a new manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, China. It was the company’s third facility for the manufacture of production equipment for the electronics industry. [3]
Atotech Taiwan Ltd. increased investment in R&D during the worldwide financial crisis in 2007, which led to an annual revenue increase of 10.5% compared to 2006. [4]
The company has a facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina and technology centers in Albany, New York and Denver, Colorado. https://www.atotech.com/usa/ References
