Why is Turkey, an UEFA member, has something to do with an AFC rank?

Note: Pages with content, such as
Asian Football Confederation, are ineligible to be proposed titles in move requests unless they, too, are formally dispositioned. "
AFC → AFC (disambiguation)" has been added to this request to meet that requirement.

Comment- I'm not opposed to this per se but there are a lot of pages currently listed at the
AFC disambiguation page. Is this definitely the
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC? If it isn't, then it shouldn't move. If it can be demonstrated that it is, I'll happily support.

Oppose - it seems unlikely that on a global scale this is indisputably the primary topic for the initials. UEFA is different because there basically isn't anything else notable with those initials --

Oppose there are 38 topics listed at
AFC DAB page, and I don't see any evidence that the football confederation is the
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Concise naming is not a valid reason for moving this, unless it's actually demonstrated to be the primary topic for the acronym AFC, which I don't believe to be the case.

Oppose I would say that out of the topics listed, there are a good amount which are stretching the AFC may stand for description (looking at you
Arsenal FC), but from the ones that aren't (especially stand out:
Adelaide Football Club whose website is
https://www.afc.com.au/ and
American Football Conference which I'm quite sure the most notable of this list in North America), I can't see the Asian Football Confederation being more of a
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC than them. Also, if on my computer I try searching "AFC" on Google news, out of the 10 results on the 1st page, 6 are about the NFL conference, 3 about
AFC Wimbledon, and only one about the Asian Football Confederation. --

Oppose Britannica uses "
Asian Cup" with AFC an alternative just like for AFC Ajax. Arsenal F.C. has 421,876 views and AFC Ajax has 76,876 compared with only 42,955[

Oppose There is no obvious
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the abbreviation "AFC," as clearly shown by the sheer number of pages linked on the existing disambiguation page. In fact, most of the 37 articles linked there don't even refer to any sport much less association football. This RM may well fall under the
WP:SNOWBALL clause, but that is not my decision to make. —
