I heard on a episode of gangland that they associate themselves with Crips but Crips have no ties to them and are allied with the Wah Ching so can anybody clarify that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.94.173.73 ( talk) 06:59, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia's policy on article titles. One part says the gang was formed by Marvin, a young man originally from the Philippines, in the early 1990s, and then another part of the page says that the gang was basically formed by Cambodian immigrants in Long Beach in the 1980s. I'm confused, and also some articles online conflict with this information. Which one is the accurate one? Cyanidethistles ( talk) 07:28, 21 March 2014 (UTC)
it was founded by cambodians living in van nuys. mercados gang was just a crew of abz/abs van nuys, he wasnt even the leader of the crew, sothi menh was.

The fact that the Asian Boyz are allied with the Crips is not cited by a reliable source. This fact needs to be cited by an appropriate source. The history does go in detail about how the gang was started and by whom, although that is mentioned in the first section, so there is no connection between the founder and the actual founding of the gang. Most of the sources used in the article are news articles for example: NewsTimes, Time Magazine, Huffington Post. These are reliable because they are peer-reviewed. I changed the |listas= attribute in the WikiProject Biography banner to be the same as the article name as per WP:SORTKEY. The WP:NAMESORT guideline does not apply because the subject of this article is an organization, not a person. - Cameron Dewe ( talk) 07:47, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
Why does this article have a WikiProject Biography banner? This article is about an organisation, not a person. The scope of WikiProject Biography says it "... includes only articles about individual persons ..." or if "... a substantial section of the article is a biography of a person related to that organization or group ..." Although I see individual names mentioned in connection with some activities, I don't think these are substantial enough to be biographies. - Cameron Dewe ( talk) 07:59, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
