I edited the king of the hill page a while back before the info about arlen was moved to its own page. I havent edited this page yet, but im just wondering where my edit has gone? In the episode "hanks choice" from season 5 bobby moves into the dog house, peggy goes to check the mail and it shows a letter addressed to "84 Rainey St." and bobby gets a letter addressed to, "84 1/2 rainey st". I havent read this page completely, but from what i saw, i didnt see any of this mentioned in this new article. I think it should be added since there is proof of it, if needed i can take a picture of the screen when they show the envelope.
Something could be added about Athens, Texas. The two cities have similar features. Example, there are no tourist features or well known sports teams. Arlen has Lake Arlen; Athens has Lake Athens. The cities both have populations of around 11,000. Athens is infact, 3 hours and 18 minutes from Houston, if you use the "quickest route" feature on Windows Live Maps. Athens is located in Henderson County, Texas; which is similar to Heimlich County. Although I am not saying Athens is completely based on Athens, it could be part of the Arlen mystery. Currently this article seems mostly devoted to personal speculation on Arlen's exact location (which could be considered Original reasearch, and in any case, the question might be unanswerable given conflicting clues dropped in the series). It would be much better for the article to focus on the role that Arlen plays in the series... AnonMoos ( talk) 20:38, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
The article says that Arlen is thought to be closest to Houston of all the big cities in Texas, yet I remember in the Thanksgiving episode, the Hills fly out of DFW, and I think Hank mentions that DFW is a 2 hour drive from Arlen 05:37, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
should it be noted taht pretty much every person in arlen except the most important characers are corrupt? just think about it: half the characters in the show make the people of Springfield (in the simpsons) look like saints
Wasn't Arlen originally part of Arlen County during the 1st season? Dancing is Forbidden ( talk) 05:20, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
