The result of the move request was: moved per request, unopposed and apparently well supported by sources. Favonian ( talk) 16:52, 2 February 2013 (UTC)
Archibald Auldjo Jamieson → Archibald Jamieson – He clearly was not commonly known by his middle name, as evidenced by the fact that his Who's Who entry lists him as "Jamieson, Sir Archibald (Auldjo)", with the second name in parentheses. His obituary in The Times also calls him "Sir Archibald Jamieson", as do the obituary of his son David Jamieson (VC) and more than thirty other mentions of him in the British newspaper of record. Never once is he referred to by his full name. WP:COMMONNAME mandates we use the name by which he was commonly known to the world, which is clearly Archibald Jamieson. I have now moved this page twice, explaining this, but it has been moved back both times by another editor without the courtesy of an explanation. -- Necrothesp ( talk) 10:38, 25 January 2013 (UTC)
