Over the last week serious accusations against Callaghan have risen to public attention. Several women have come forward, accusing Callaghan of sexual misconduct and assault. Here's a recent video discussing the allegations:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5D1yD-282XE
Callaghan has not yet released a statement, but the accusations seem noteworthy nonetheless.
No, none of those are considered credible by Wikipedia because they're primary sources. Wikipedia is basically a collection of what mainstream media considers to be true, not a collection of actual truths, as backwards as that seems.

The A.V. Club is now cited as the source for the sex pest claims, and it's a reliable source as per
WP:RSP, but the A.V. Club article itself still cites Rolling Stone, as do all of the other ones I can find on Google News. I'm not sure if this meets Wikipedia's reliability standards. But I'll leave it up because I just don't know. Could someone who is familiar with what to do in this situation please comment?

Rolling Stone should not be used for something like this. We shouldn’t be using sources that are basing their reporting on Rolling Stone either.

I just read talk pages but I believe you should delete the part about money, if not the entire accusation. To the point, it could seem unfair to Callaghan to perhaps imply he responded with vague and/or unsubstantiated claims. sarcasm: It seems objectively inaccurate but being a noteworthy figure and the target of an angry mob, his sexual encounters around the time he was 18 are important to humanity's future. /sarcam. A reminder to editors, this is not about mainstream media vs. "the truth," it's about evidence, if there is none, do you wonder why?

i don't want to edit this, sorry, but to answer you, callaghan showed text messages with the first "accuser" asking for money to pay for the therapy sessions re: 18 year old drunken consensual sex. Is this not a stunt by channel 5 tp demonstrate to stupid people are? If so bravo

Reading this quote was confusing for me when I tried to figure out what was going on with him lately without any context.
I saw that someone's youtube comment on his apology video pointed to a summarizing reddit thread
[1], which then linked to a screenshot of the message requesting the money
[2], and this seems a very different kind of message than what that quote might imply out of context.
I have no idea how any of this works on wikipedia, and obviously some random screenshot posted on reddit isn't a credible source, so I'm open to hearing how best to resolve this.

There's a sentence about it there now. Possibly it should have its own paragraph if it's getting drowned out by the quote from Variety.

There is a recent Lex Fridman podcast with him (issue 425, April 13); with interesting political views (and his life story, etc.).--
