GB Edwards looked into it...yeah..."It is changed in the World Spider Catalog. It is because of Saitis from which Anasaitis is derived. While often nouns that end in -is are feminine, Saitis is gender masculine (meaning "citizen of Sais"), therefore, any word derived from it is also masculine. Any associated specific epithet that is adjectival (ends in -a for feminine, -us for masculine) will be changed accordingly. So, sorry, it is Anasaitis canosus from now on (I don't like it either, but oh well)."
