Roles

There are 2 different types of roles in among us. The crewmates and imposters. Crewmate is the most common role in among us. There are 3 different types of crewmates. For starters there's the average crewmate, they run around doing there tasks so they can win the game. Secondly, there are engineers, these crewmates are able to use vents allowing them to move around quicker. Lastly, there's the scientists, scientists are able to use vitals at any given time which helps them figure out who's dead. Unlike crewmates imposters only have 2 different types, imposters and shape shifters. Imposters can kill and sabotage. Shape shifters have an extra ability, they can transform into other players for a short amount of time. These are the different types of roles in among us. 2600:1008:B001:8D81:794D:605A:215F:105 ( talk) 13:24, 19 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Update 2024.6.18

Mention the new Phantom role which can vanish and appear.

The Phantom is an Impostor role. They have an option to vanish, turning invisible to other alive Crewmates. However, they are not invisible to ghosts or alive Impostors, and the Phantom will look transparent.

Among Us Wiki also provides much more information if they are needed. TacotruckMan101 ( talk) 13:24, 26 July 2024 (UTC) reply

( https://www.innersloth.com/new-roles-enter-the-fray-v2024-6-18-emergency-meeting-38/) This is an Among Us update for June 18, 2024, which added three additional specialized roles to the game, and more changes (such as a music playing during lobby and how lobby and its settings looks like) For the roles, Crewmates can also be Noisemakers, Trackers, as well as normal crewmates, while Impostors likewise can be Phantoms. A Noisemaker will trigger an alert in them when being killed by An Impostor. A Tracker can track a living player in their map and the target on their map will move along as the living player moves. A Phantom can vanish, disappearing and turning invisible to other living Crewmates, excluding Impostors and ghosts. When a Noisemaker gets killed An Impostor, Impostors can whether or not get alerted, based on the lobby settings. The lobby settings can also set how delayed or smooth the tracking on a Tracker's map moves along with the targeted living player. The alert from a Noisemaker would appear on players' screen. The Tracker have an option to untrack their current targeted player after tracking. The Phantom also have an option to reappear after disappearing. When the Phantom vanishes or appears, a particle will happen to appear on their character, which lets other players identify the player's role. The Tracker and Phantom roles comes with new additional abilities, except for Noisemaker, whose only ability can only achieved through a certain state. Change "who they believe" to "whom they believe" (in two places). 2A00:23C5:FE1C:3701:81FC:EB84:82B2:89B2 ( talk) 15:51, 30 July 2024 (UTC) reply

Not done: While I am not well versed in the relevant grammar rules, both ChatGPT and Grammarly agree "who" is proper in both instances, not "whom". Anyone who is more familiar with the relevant grammar rules, if I am wrong, feel free to ping me and slap me with a trout. — Sirdog ( talk) 08:48, 31 July 2024 (UTC) reply
