I noticed a few aspects of this article that could likely be improved, however before I edit anything, I want to make sure that I'm not changing anything that I shouldn't.
The article states that the synopsis (and therefore presumably the song list) are taken from the current licensed production. However, according to
WP:WPMT/AS#NUMBERS, shouldn't the Broadway version be used instead? (There are some differences.) Also, the synopsis is nearly 1300 words long, but
WP:WPMT/AS#NUMBERS states that two-act musicals' synopses should generally be between 800 and 1100 characters, with exceptions for more complicated plots. Is this plot sufficiently complicated to justify this length? I could believe so; all of the different characters' love interests form quite a tangled web, I just wanted to see if anyone with more experience editing plot summaries had any thoughts on this.
Is a character list necessary? According to
WP:WPMT/AS#NUMBERS complex plot or characters are enough to warrant a list separate from the synopsis. This is a similar point to the above. Any thoughts? Also, according to
WP:WPMT/AS#NUMBERS vocal ranges should be omitted unless there is a consensus to include them. Unless someone has a good reason to keep them, I will remove them in my next edit.
The "Love Plots" section seems redundant. The reader should be able to gain all of this information from the synopsis.
@
Rocky Role: Somewhat late response here. Yes, the plot summary is way too long, and you should feel free to prune it mercilessly. The synopsis isn't a replacement for watching the show; it should only hit the main points and provide an overview. The original broadway version is the most relevant, but a short section on the differences might be appropriate iff they are significant and secondary sources have discussed them in depth (not just in passing). The character list is… fine, but optional. If it stays it needs a little formatting. Feel free to {{
ping}} me if I can be of any assistance. --

I took the liberty of making some editorial revisions, based on part of the above discussion: formatted character list (stay or delete, not sure); vocal ranges deleted; add references; add short section with ref on US tour. The discussion points about plot is excellent, but I prefer not to edit it myself, as I have not seen the musical and I fear I could do more harm than good. I'm done.
