I would like to propose the following edit to the history of Albert Lea:
Albert Lea received national attention in 1959 after Local 6 workers of the United Packinghouse Workers of America went on strike against Wilson & Co. (one of the Big 4 meatpacking plants at the time) over issues involving mandatory overtime requirements. When Wilson & Co attempted to operate the plant with replacement workers, violence erupted and split the town. During the 109 day strike, Governor Orville Freeman, acted to quell the violence by closing the plant, calling in the Minnesota National Guard, and declaring martial law to keep the peace. Could you add the Albert Lea Economic Development Agency website to this page? The address is: www.albertleaeconomicdevelopment.com. Thank you.

If someone has information/time, it might be good to break off the high school into a separate article instead of redirecting. matt91486 16:48, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Albert Lea, Minnesota's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.
Reference named "USCensusEst2017":
I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT ⚡ 03:43, 17 October 2018 (UTC)
