I think we'll have to wait until later in the summer when ABC releases start schedules to add more. Since Inhumans is only eight episodes, SHIELD could conceivable start airing before the Christmas break most networks take. Or they could start in January and run straight through for their 22 episodes. So pretty much all we can add now is that they have 22 episodes and about the timeslot (but we haven't mentioned that in the season articles "Broadcast" sections previously). -

Confirmed by Channing Dungey: Agents of SHIELD will air in the fall and will be taking over Inhumans' Friday 9pm spot once the freshman series completes its eight-episode run. -

Brojam: Do you have a source that specifically says a "fall" debut, and not simply "mid-season" or "replacement for Inhumans"? We can then use that to state the series will premiere in 2017 of the 2017-18 TV season. The TV Line in article already does not say that, so we can swap it out. -

I found
this from EW, but they say "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will then launch later in the fall, possibly midseason." so that can still mean a Jan 2018 start. -

No, TVBTN has "later in the season"
[1] and TVLine "will take over the Fridays-at-9 time slot once Inhumans wraps its eight-episode run"
[2]. -

I don't think we can say anything definitively at this time beyond it not premiering in September. If Inhumans actually goes 8 weeks straight, its last episode will be on November 10. That would mean AoS could start November 17, and it would then be off the next week for US Thanksgiving, and could then go another 2 or 3 weeks after that to end on December 8 or December 15. But that's all just me conjecturing. -

I saw a post by Gregg this morning on his Instagram that he's directing 506, but it seems he has subsequently removed the post (dang you Marvel snipers). Reddit
is a bit helpful supporting what I saw but you can't really see the info in the image. The clapper board also said "R.A.G.T.A.G." on it, which I'm assuming is the show's working title, but I've never seen that previously. -

"Blood left the series during the third season, to star on the spin-off series Marvel's Most Wanted which never came to fruition." Doesn't sound totally accurate. a more accurate version would be "Blood left the series during the third season, to star on the spinoff pilot Marvel's Most Wanted, which was not picked up to series.", since "series" isn't an accurate way to describe a pilot. — Preceding

Okay, why is he not being included along with the rest of the cast. His character didn't die and he's been in many BTS footage. Same with Natalia Cordova Buckley... She has been shown in BTS footage. So why can't we confirm they are appearing? — Preceding

Hi all. Just want to put there here incase anyone has questions regarding
these additions. I was at the NYCC panel and saw the first 20 minutes of 501. Examining and remembering the credits to help add them here, Jesse Bochco directed the episode, and Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen wrote it. I think all the EP/Producing credits are the same. As for guest stars, Jeff Ward was the first billed, and I'd say there were 4-5 additional guests for the episode. Also, we have another new title card! It, and the credits, use the same font as the title card from
4,722 Hours. If anyone wants more info than this that may go into spoiler territory, reach out to me on my talk. -

Given the "big deal" they've made on her appearing, she's probably going to be a recurring character for the second half of the season. We just don't know fully yet. -

But it doesn't meet are usual criteria, which was designed to avoid adding just anybody that editors felt were notable, as well as guests who may be notable for an episode or two but not in the scope of the season. If she really is as notable as everyone seems to think she is, then she'll likely have a recurring role for the next arc of episodes in which case she can be noted as recurring. -

It's because most shows are on a break over Christmas, so they wouldn't have enough scripted originals to post numbers for. The same happened over the Olympics, only a few shows aired so they didn't bother.

Favre1fan93: I can go either way on Sitwell and Strucker being listed in the section. As long as we are happy that they are not full guest stars but are still notable enough. -

It does make it a bit different because they are a) younger versions of the established characters and b) were not credited in the opening. But I think it is okay to include because they are recognizable characters to the universe even if played by different actors. -

Favre1fan93: Don't know what criteria is in your head, but Jake Busey is a well known actor in a guest role.
The criteria is noted in the section, and is there specifically to avoid every man and his dog adding the actors that they think are "well known". -

There is no criteria listed in the section. Also, Jake Busey is more well known than most of "notable" guests is the list. Cutting him out just because you personally don't know him doesn't preclude his listing. That said, if you object so much to his being in there, you must at least acknowledge his involvement as an actor in a speaking role, and allow him to be added to recurring cast list. — Preceding

There are hidden notes in the section listing the criteria. Busey does not meet that for "Notable guests" which is for actors/characters Returning from previous MCU media, including previous seasons of SHIELD, while "Recurring" is for actors/characters Reliably sourced and/or confirmed to make 4+ appearances in the season. Busey only made 2 appearances in the season. He is listed on the list of characters page. -

Events of Infinity War Mention
I added the slight mention by Caine to Johnson about what had been going on in New York which was a reference to the attack in New York by Thanos' henchmen during the Infinity War movie.

Unless there is an explicit quote that this is what Caine was talking about, or a reliable source indicating this, then it's considered Original Research and not usable here. For all we know he could have been talking about the controversial US Presidential election...

Name by which Daisy Johnson should be referred to
Within the episode summaries in this article, the character Daisy Johnson is referred to as "Johnson". According to
MOS:BIO, articles that speak about fictional characters should refer to them by the name commonly used for the (examples: the
Jason Voorhees article refers to him as "Jason", while the
Albert Wesker article refers to him as "Wesker").
I have seen the show and know that the character in question is most commonly referred to by her first name "Daisy", so I edited the article to reflect this. This edit was reverted. Here is evidence from several episodes of the show of how the character is commonly referred to. I checked each of the following episodes for every utterance of "Daisy", "Johnson", and "Quake" (Quake is the character's superhero codename).
s05e01 "Orientation":
"Daisy and I will find Mack and Yo-Yo."; "Daisy, the door"; "Daisy? Pretty name."; "There's barely any surface left, Daisy."; "That! That's what I'm looking for. Daisy Johnson."; "So you know who I am?" "Quake."
s05e02 "A Life Spent":
"At least Daisy's not trapped in here."; "Quake is the one who did it."; "So there she is: Quake"; "So, this is Quake"
s05e10 "Past Life":
"Daisy!"; "Daisy, can't waste time."; "The sliver Quake left behind"
s05e13 "Principia"
"Daisy's hoping we can tackle both problems"; "That Daisy girl is cute"
s05e16 "Inside Voices"
"I'm wondering if your Daisy Johnson is a better fit."; "Daisy's kind of a hard-ass"; "Daisy has really just become a hard-ass"; "Daisy won't listen"; "Daisy's taking a long shot"; "She wanted to join forces with SHIELD, with Daisy Johnson"; "I'm lost without him. Daisy too."; "I know Johnson's still mad at me"
s05e20 "The One Who Will Save Us All"
"Daisy Johnson went into the machine?"; "This is Daisy Johnson"; "We're here, Daisy"; "Oh, Daisy"; "Agent Johnson, always in the centre of the storm"; "Why would you trust Quake?"
From that evidence, I am still not convinced. Her last name is used enough for me to feel that "Daisy Johnson" is what she is commonly known as, with different characters emphasising her first and last names in a near-equal manner. And if her common name has a first and last name, then the convention is to introduce her with the full name and then only use her last name moving forward. If she was never called "Johnson" or it only came up one or two times then that would be fine (Mack and Yo-Yo are good examples of that), but this is not the case for her. -

Okay, I have looked through transcipts of the dialogue from episode seasons 3, 4, and 5 (the character only adopted the name "Daisy" at the beginning of season 3). Here are the counts of how often each name is used by season. In instances where a character said the same name twice in close succession, e.g. "Daisy! Daisy!" I have only counted that as one usage. It is possible that I missed some or overcounted some, but I believe this is very near to accurate:
-
"Daisy" alone
(Agent/Ms.) "Johnson" alone
"Daisy Johnson"
"Quake"
Season 3
217
2
5
0
Season 4
124
17

Season 5

Additionally, if we look at
the official character bios on the ABC website, we see that the Daisy Johnson character is mentioned within the text of two of the character bios -- her own, and that of Melinda May. In both, she is referred to only as "Daisy", with no surname. (The name "Agent Daisy Johnson" is used as the header/title of that character's page.) Contrast with other characters such as "Melinda May", "Phil Coulson", and "Leopold Fitz", who are referred to by their surnames (as they typically are within the show). --
