A number of sites were created afterwards to replace the Zone, one of which Gamespy, which has the same numbers as the MSN Gaming Zone did, and so gamers are happy.
This may sound like a biased complaint, but i seriously doubt many people arehappy with gamespy, or even content, if not annoyed and angry. This article is surprisingly low quality overall, with irrelevant, obsolete or inaccurate statements. Superkala 22:46, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes I agree and it's actually not true. GameSpy might have had the same amount if you compare it to how zone was at the end. I remember when you couldn't get in the Custom Scenario room (AoK) and had to go to the second room. At the end (of zone) this was never a problem. I've made a post in the discussion part about the Multiplayer part (History of Zone, EL, GS and IGZ).
I'm pretty sure they're called "berserkers" in the game. If I'm wrong, I apologize. It occurred to me the second after I hit "save" that it was possible I wasn't correct. -- Aranel 19:13, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
While adding the covers, I deleted the following ext. links since they directly point to gamefaqs files:

I was slightly annoyed that no mention of the scenario editor was made, so I inserted a text myself. There is thriving online designer's page based in Age of King's Heaven. Though the game is difficult to modify and thus given a back seat to other mods and games, it makes up for this with its unique editor. This accessed in game, is fairly simple and user-friendly, and can be used to create a vast variety of scenartios. AoK custom campaigns are unique in gaming in that they can feature whole stories and complex plots. On their highest level they can even compete with real literature, which is something most official games can't even say. Those are few, however, and fewer than ten campaigns out of roughly 3000 have received perfect scores in the Age of Kings Heaven. I believe that the designing community outnumbers the gaming community nowadays.
EDIT - Let me just add to my fellow designers words (Oliver? Ana? Zyx?), the community is tight-knit and willing to accept everyone, so long as they keep their behavior respectable. ES has recognized many of our designs, and they seem to enjoy it some. We love our craft, and I'm sure that anyone who tries it and gets used to it will love it too. -SS
Just a piece of opinion (since I've seen someone added the DS category), given the differences that can be spotted from the previews between the original and DS versions (the preview I've read AoK DS is a turn based game), it would be much more advisable to create a separate article, not a different section. wS 21:02, 1 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Why does Michi redirects to this article?
This article is full of gamecruft, contains one-sentence-sections and is outdated at times (a release scheduled for February 14). Soothing R 07:24, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
theres a whole different aok game in zone and theres history of clans and stuff can i write a article about the history?
I think the tone of this article is a bit unencyclopedic. There is so much reference to the first Age of Empires and ways in which this one is better. I think the article should be rephrased since this is not a series comparison article. Anyone agree? Tutmosis 16:42, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
How accurate are the history notes in the unique unit section? It looks to me like most of those notes came from the game manual, which may or may not be a credible source of historical information. I'll see if I can research this more. Gamer.g33k 22:08, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Negative, this is wikipedia, not cheat code central.
I couldn't help but notice that in the Wonders section, the Britons are missing. Anyone care to fix this problem?-- Knight45 20:03 19 July 2006
Never mind; read the section after.-- Knight45 20:05 19 July 2006
It seems we have a consensus, but how can we know if the article is notable enough, or if it will just be removed? Should we simply copy and paste the units section as is and see if it remains, or request the advice from an admin who would be familiar with this sort of thing? Either way, we can begin on reducing the section down (using Age of Empires for a model) as we can always refer to the page history for the units list. We should leave an invisible note at the top of the section incase anyone is inclined to fill it with details again. Richard001 07:05, 3 October 2006 (UTC)
Here are some discussions to consider as precendent:
If in fact a sperate article is created, consider that is is almost certain to be nominated for deletion, and there is a very good chance that it would in fact be deleted unless
multiple third party reliable sources can be found for the information. Which isn't likely.

There is no mention of Age of Empires II: Gold Edition. The Gold Edition contains both Age of Kings and The Conquerors Expansion. Anyone else agree that this should be mentioned somewhere? If so, where in the article? Cyberguy410 16:13, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Hey, the description of the Petard (Suicide bomber) unit says that it's only in the conquerors expansion. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this unit also used in a campaign mission and the scenario editer in regular AoK? Russian F 04:40, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
You may mean Saboteurs. These are basically Petards, but much more powerful, and in AoK. Petards are in the conquerors expansion. Nate 17:40, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
I think that AOE 2 should be mentioned on aeperate article; they could be spitted into a seperate article named AOE 2 Units or something like that. Does anybody agree?
who here feels that the battle of ain jalut should have been put in the mongol campaign? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.175.1.237 ( talk) 02:42, 23 December 2006 (UTC).
This game offers all its Artificial Intelligence scripting documentation via a file in the Docs folder. Also complete documentation regarding map scripting is available in the same folder. These things are completely different from the scenario editor. There are AI scripts available at heavengames and at http://www.aiscripters.com. Also AllianceThundaEmpire, an AI script, appears as a well known bot in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_game_bot . I will be happy to write down a small section regarding this after the online play section. Acetylcholine 05:14, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Added a section myself, it was very important, as a quick read will reveal. The links and references provided are just few, they can always be expanded. Acetylcholine 03:40, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
The image is in its current location is not fitting in. IMO: It does not belong here. Or the info should be increased to make the image look fit and not overlap with other headings. Acetylcholine 09:12, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I was just wondering how the collab is going...is there a list of things that need to be done, or are we just going in any direction? ~ Giggy! Talk (reply here) 07:08, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Age of Empires II page shouldn't be a disambig one; It should re-direct here. This(AoK) is Age of Empires II and The Conquerors is just its expansion pack that can be reached from here. I'll be fixing the re-direct. rohith 19:42, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Maybe each Scenario could have it's own article. Might sound rather big but it would be quite nice. Dunno if it's possible but if it is then we could explain each scenario and write basic strategies that are used.
