Age-standardized mortality rate is basically a specific application of age adjustment - and the 'when standardisation is inappropriate' part in particular would be better placed here.
Additional consideration should also be given to the articles at
Standardised mortality rate and
Standardized mortality ratio which are again about essentailly the same thing. I think it is necessary to have an article under one of these terms (not age adjustment) since this is a standard terminology, possibly with another with the title age adjustment giving more of the whys and who's done its.
