SOS was the name of both episodes (with Part 1 and Part 2), so it is logical to group them together. The final 2 episodes are at one article because there was not enough information for the first episode to justify its own article (but that is still being considered) so a joint article was made. At the moment, both Ascension and Absolution have enough separate info to justify their splits. Just because they aired on the same day doesn't automatically make them candidates for a combined article. You have to see what the sources present for them. (this comment was moved from

How so? You have two episodes called "Part 1" and "Part 2", so having both at one article works. With Absolution and Ascension, there is no immediate indication that they are related, so having 2 articles works. And as mentioned, when the final 2 episodes of season 7 were being crafted, they started as 2 individual articles because they also had separate titles. But as they were being built, it was found the sources all talked either about the very last episode or the finale as a whole, so it made sense to make them one episode. -

How does it being escapist T.V. have any bearing on us following proper titling procedures? We have in these articles and the other examples given. -
